Please note the fact that Joint Director General of Shipping, Mr. Deepak Shetty has "requested from a humanitarian perspective" that the matter be addressed in a "humane and sympathetic manner" as befits the mandate of a responsible and responsive maritime administration, which Messrs Ravishankar, Dr. P. Misra, and KM Rajan have chosen to ignore.
